Brookwood Tax Service
is a professional tax firm with services including income tax preparation and income tax planning,
plus representation for clients facing audits, tax appeals and tax
collection actions. Our
clients include individuals, couples,
families, professionals and small business owners.
Our focus is specifically on our clients' federal and state income tax
preparation and income tax planning. We do not sell investments, mortgages,
insurance or any other financial products.
The bulk of our tax practice is centered in Georgia, but we also serve
clients in several states and foreign countries.
The owner of Brookwood Tax
Service, LLC is Chet Burgess, an Enrolled Agent licensed to represent taxpayers
before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service. (Learn

As a tax professional, he has
prepared more than 1,800
federal and state income tax returns, and has more than 250 hours of
professional tax training over the past three years. He formerly
worked for a large national tax preparation firm before starting his own
professional tax practice.
He is a member of the National
Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the largest professional
association of tax specialists in the nation.
He is also a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA),
and serves as President of the Metro Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia
Association of Enrolled Agents.
Both organizations provide frequent alerts to their members of tax law
changes and IRS ruling and procedure updates, and both provide extensive
continuing education programs for their members.
